|Rescue Me ID: 15-05-18-00480Pedro (male)|
Approx. DOB: 4/8/2008, Weight: 17 lbs. $ 175 adoption fee includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Pedro was picked up as a stray by a local shelter that was very full. He was extremely skinny and over the last month has gone from 8 lbs to a healthy 17 Lbs. We believe Pedro is a Pekingese/Japanese Chin mix. Pedro is about 7 years old, his age does not effect him much. He LOVES to play with the other dogs in his foster home! He also loves toys, especially tennis balls! Pedro loves to run to get the ball after you throw it but, will make you work for it a little bit to get it back. Pedro loves to be petted and adores attention! If you sit on the ground he will crawl right up in your lap! Pedro is the perfect lap dog, although he may need a little help getting on the couch to sit with you. Pedro's foster family reports that he is a very quiet house guest! He makes little to no noise! His foster family is happy to say that he is house trained! Pedro is only in the kennel if his foster family is gone for long periods of time.Due to Pedro's size and age we recommend school age children or older. Pedro has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. He has also had a dental and several bad teeth extracted. If you are interested in adopting Pedro, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Japanese Chin Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Japanese Chin is a poufy little fur ball of a lap dog. The Japanese Chin is an affectionate companion dog. Japanese Chin are typically very quiet unless they have a reason to bark. Japanese Chin sometimes engage in very amusing behavior such as dancing on their hind legs. Japanese Chin should be socialized as puppies but are generally very loving, friendly pets. Chin are excellent dogs for apartment living. They are also very easy to housebreak and can even learn to use a litter box.
