Japanese Chin Rescue Information: The Japanese Chin is a poufy little fur ball of a lap dog. The Japanese Chin is an affectionate companion dog. Japanese Chin are typically very quiet unless they have a reason to bark. Japanese Chin sometimes engage in very amusing behavior such as dancing on their hind legs. Japanese Chin should be socialized as puppies but are generally very loving, friendly pets. Chin are excellent dogs for apartment living. They are also very easy to housebreak and can even learn to use a litter box.

Japanese Chin, along with the Chihuahua and Pekingese, trace their origins to a species of dog that existed in Tibet around 8000 B.C.! Japanese Chin are considered to be very cat-like in behavior and temperament. Some Japanese Chin like to sing.
